Save money on our lowest priced General English course.

This full time course is taught in the afternoons and has 15 hours per week study! 

Classes are taught Monday to Friday from 13:30 to 16:45 at all levels from Beginner to Advanced. You'll be expected to make fast progress in your speaking, listening, reading and writing. 

English Express emphasis is on fast progress, with your English improvement guaranteed. We want you to improve your English and reach your professional or academic target as quickly as possible.

All students have slightly varying abilities but we expect you to complete each level in the time indicated in the table below. See our Progress Promise below.


English Express classes are our lowest price course, costing as little as £3 per hour, see prices below. Four weeks is the minimum length you can join English Express classes, this starting rate is still just £4 per hour. 

Lessons are taught by our same qualified and experienced teachers as in all our classes. The course syllabus is General English, using books such as English File and Face2Face. 



Classes are 13:30 to 16:45, Monday to Friday. 15 hours per week. 


If you do not progress to the next level having studied the required class hours and followed the ISE Study Rules, ISE will offer you extra classes and support for free.

Are the classes really so cheap?
Yes, English Express is the lowest priced course we offer at ISE. 

Are the teachers qualified?
We use the same, fully qualified and very experienced teachers as all our classes. No trainee teachers. 

When do courses start?
Classes run all year but you can join any Monday. 

How many hours per week is the course?
English Express courses are 15 hours per week. 

Can I study in the morning for this price?
No. English Express prices are for afternoon study only. See our fees page for regular course prices. 

Does the course comply with visa requirements?
Yes, the course is 15 hours per week which is enough to apply for a Tier 4 Student visa (with a CAS number) or a Student Visitor Visa. You may need a visa to study if you are from a non-EU country. 

Is English Express an Exam Preparation course?
No, the course is General English without specific exam preparation but follows a syllubus similar to that of Cambridge exams. We run separate FCE, CAE, IELTS and Business English courses.
