The examination fee for CAE is approximately £135 per candidate with exams in Brighton being held in March, June, August & December.
At ISE we offer a fully flexible timetable for CAE, where you can study from 6 hours per week, 9 hours per week, 15 hours per week or 21 hours per week.
Our teachers are specialised in explaining and delivering the CAE curriculum, as well as trained to recognise when students are ready to pass the exam. We will make sure that your learning goals are realistic and that you are advised to only enter the exam when you have a strong chance of success.
Typically ISE will run CAE classes all year round in the morning (full time & part time) and the evening (part time only). However we also do specialist CAE exam workshops and mock papers just before the exam, to help students achieve the best possible results.
劍橋 CAE涉及什麼?
The updated exam (for exam sessions from January 2015) is made up of four papers developed to test your English language skills. You can see exactly what’s in each paper below.
The Speaking test is taken face-to-face, with two candidates and two examiners. This creates a more realistic and reliable measure of your ability to use English to communicate.
CAE has four papers:
Reading & Use of Englsh: 1 hour 30 minutes / 40% of total mark
Shows you can deal confidently with different types of text, such as fiction, newspapers and magazines. Tests your use of English with different types of exercise that show how well you can control your grammar and vocabulary.
Writing: 1 hour 30 minutes / 20% of total mark
You create two different pieces of writing, such as essays, letters/emails, proposals, reports and reviews.
Listening: 40 minutes / 20% of total mark
Tests your ability to follow and understand a range of spoken materials, such as interviews, radio broadcasts, presentations, talks and everyday conversations.
Speaking: 15 minutes / 20% of total mark
Tests your ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face situations. You will take the Speaking test with another candidate.
